Through this course, it provided me with basic skills in the area of performance
improvement process, task analysis, related data gathering techniques, and subsequent
assessment and evaluation. We emphasized on concepts, models and techniques for
performance improvement at organization, process, and individual levels. Particularly, we
explored the actual analyses and assessments with applications to performance improvement
interventions in real world scenarios. Some of the analysis tools and evaluation that we conducted were:
• Organization analysis
o Mission, vision, values statements
o SWOT analysis
o Organization structure: Org chart
o System analysis: System description and flows
• Process analysis: Description and process flowchart
o At least one sub-system description or process analysis
• Job descriptions for selected job(s)
• Task analysis
o Task inventories
o Task analysis
