In order to effectively build the WXJM brand, we started by completing an internal and external analysis. This provided us with all the conditions of the market and environment to help with the diagnosis and development by using the SWOT analysis. Here we created strategies that we suggest WXJM implement. We then moved on to the segmentation of the different types of radio listeners to see who would most receptive to WXJM’s efforts. Having the target market helped us to create a desired brand identity composed of associations and perceptions that would appeal to the specified target audiences. With these findings, we were able to easily set up a brand portfolio comprised of all the services offered by WXJM. To pull it all together, in the final activation stage we offer specific examples of how WXJM could implement the new brand strategy through all different marketing efforts, with a focus on digital channels.
